Michael Joseph Gurleski Jr. (Mike) was 78 years old and passed away peacefully in his home in Portland, Texas on June 2, 2017. Michael was born on September 27, 1938 in New York City, NY to the parents Michael Gurleski Sr. and Helen Gurleski.
Michael was married to Elva C. Vera of Corpus Christi, TX. For 31 years Michael is predeceased by both his mother Helen Gurleski and father Michael Gurleski Sr. of New York City, NY as well as his two son-in-laws Walter Winkle of Ingleside, Tx and John A. Trevino III of Corpus Christi, Tx. Michael received a diploma from St. Brigid’s School of Religion in the Class of 1952, in New York City, NY. He also served in the United States Navy. Michael was the owner of City Amusement Company Vending Machines for 50 years. He also founded the Corpus Christi 8-Ball Association.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Elva C. Vera and his children Michael J. Gurleski III (Stacey), Bobby Gurleski (Janna) Sherry Pugleasa (Jay) Daria Kay Creek (James) Shelby Villanueva, Irma Moreno (Jaimie), Marcos, Villanueva Jr. (Minga) Ruth G. Trevino twenty grandchildren and twenty great grand children. Sibilings Richard J. Gurleski, Loraine Gurleski, Steven Gurleski, Kathy Gurleski all of New York City, NY.
