Mary M. Chapa, age 72, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mary was born on November 27, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a nurse for 50 plus years locally. Mary was a wonderful wife, devoted mother, and grandmother. She will be missed dearly. She is preceded in death by parents, Vicente and Dolores Lozano and a son, Richard D. Chapa.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David Chapa Jr.; her children, Michael R. Chapa (Veronica Vela), Cynthia C. Flores; daughter-in-law Veronica De La Paz; her grandchildren, Richard David Chapa Jr., Jacob R. De La Paz, Clarissa De La Paz, Candace Nicole Flores, Brandon M. Chapa; great grandson, Jacob Ryan De La Paz; brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Seaside Reid Chapel, 4357 Ocean Dr., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
