Juventino (Tino) A. Hinojosa, 83, of Corpus Christi, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, as he peacefully slept in his beloved recliner covered with his favorite Dallas Cowboy blanket.
Tino worked hard for many years to provide for his family. He was employed as a Fire Safety Officer at Del Mar College and as an Assistant Fire Chief at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. He enjoyed family barbeques, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and playing a round of golf or two.
Tino was born to Frances and Rudy Hinojosa, Sr, on November 13, 1934 in Alice, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Frances and Rudy Hinojosa, Sr., his sister Fita DeLeon, and his son, Anthony Hinojosa.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 32 years, Maria Guadalupe Hinojosa, sons David Hinojosa, John Henry Ramirez, Gerald Ramirez, and Gabriel Tamez (Lydia); grandchildren Ashley Ramirez, John Henry Ramirez, Jr., Jerry Ramirez, Jr., Brianna Ramirez and Valeria Tamez; siblings Rudy Hinojosa, Jr., Mante Rodriguez (Gil), and Elva Charles, and numerous loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Seaside Reid Chapel, 4357 Ocean Dr., with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Christ The King Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
