Juanita Dodd, 81, passed away on December 28, 2017 with her children and family
members by her side.

She was born on March 18, 1936 in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Esmerejildo Sandate and Juanita Cruz Sandate.
She was a very loving mother and dedicated her life to her children. Juanita was a
very independent, hardworking, self-sufficient woman. She enjoyed cooking,
spending time at the senior center, and dancing to Spanish music. Juanita’s
Catholic faith was always of great importance throughout her life.
Juanita is preceded in death by her loving parents; husband Frank Dodd; oldest
sister, Julia Sandate; younger sister, Julia Sandate; brother, Esmerejildo Sandate
Jr.; sister, Virginia Villarreal; and nephew, Andy Villarreal Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Frank Dodd Jr. (Rachel),
George Dodd, Mary Dodd Ortiz (David), Linda Ozuna (Ted); her sisters Elvira
Lara (Lupe), Herminia Ojeda (Patricio), Ester Sandate, Silva Sandate, Lydia Solis
(Ignacio), Beatrice Garcia (Leonard); 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren;
numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be held at the Corpus Christi Funeral Home on 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2018 with a Rosary recited at 7 pm that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 am on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
Interment to follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
