John Peter Hanson
Our Dad, John Hanson passed away Sunday May 28, 2017. He was born on June 8, 1965 to George and Peggy Hanson in Soldotna, Alaska.
Following the footsteps of our grandfather, Dad was a fair and honest mechanic whose customers thought of him as family. He worked for Pete Roel for many years before fulfilling his dream of running his own shop, Hanson Auto. He had many adventures in his 51 years of life. He enjoyed spending time at the beach or at the farm with family and friends. He loved fishing, movies, reading and sending morning pictures of his dogs, Tena, Mia and Rotor.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Tina, his gorgeous daughter Rachel Rene Wright (and husband Brett), his three sons, John Peter Hanson, Jr. (and wife Tiffany), Anthony Isaac Hanson (and wife Wendy), Nicholas Bryan Hanson, Dad’s identical twin brother George (and wife Melanie), and his sister Jo Snyder (and husband John). His three step children, John Langley Sr. (and wife Jessica), Kristi Streetman (and husband Glen), and Sarah Porcher (and husband Drew) were honored to call him Papa John.
Dad was blessed with 14 beautiful grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and the most amazing friends who will miss him and carry his memory forever.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
