Elma S. Ramirez, age 84, passed away on July 16, 2017. Elma was born on August 28, 1932 to Fidencio Salinas and Estella Salinas.
Elma was retired from Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed participation in crossing guard, pottery, loved dancing, making flower arrangements, baking, and loved to cook. Elma also enjoyed going to church.
She will always be remembered for her joy of being a companion at Trinity Towers. Elma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by husband Guillermo Ramirez, father Fidencio Salinas and mother Estella Salinas.
Elma is survived by companion Jose C. Arellano, children Diana Hernandez, Leopoldo (Emily) Ramirez, Guillermo Jr. (Olga) Ramirez, Richard (Margarita) Ramirez, Rene (Doris) Ramirez, Olga (Arturo) Del Bosque, Octavio (Priscilla) Ramirez, and Christina (Omar) Ramirez; 43 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren . She is also survived by he brother, Isaac (Maggie) Salinas and sisters, Laira Cantu and Nicky Salinas.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Seaside Reid Chapel, 4357 Ocean Dr., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
