Andres Aurelio Gonzalez, age 88, passed away on May 27, 2017 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Andres was born on November 12, 1928 in Weslaco, Texas to Andres and Maria Petra Gonzalez. He was active in the Cursillo Movement for 50 years and he also mentored people who were incarcerated. Andres was a local printer by trade.
He is preceded in death by his first Wife, Ana Maria Lopez Gonzalez.
Andres is survived by his Wife, Blanca D. Gonzalez; and 12 Children, Lupita Trevino (Eleazar), Ana Meza (David), Ruth Lara (Manuel), Andy Gonzalez (Adela), Sofia Chapa (Chris), Mary Chapa (Hector), Angie Russell (Tim), Stanley Gonzalez (Letty), Petra Gonzalez, Monica Martinez (David), Carlos Gonzalez (Mari), Frank Gonzalez (Lorraine); Sister, Conchita Pina; Numerous Grandchildren, Great-great Grandchildren, Great- Great Grandchildren; 2 step-daughters, Graciela (Ray) Perez and Julia Sifuentes.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
