Alfonso Lara, age 48, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2017. Alfonso was born on July 22, 1968 to Rogelio and Guadalupe Lara. He graduated from Moody High School in 1988. He was employed by Corpus Christi Country Club and enjoyed watching baseball, football and basketball. But most of all, he was an avid Spurs fan.

He will always be remembered for his devotion to family, everlasting sense of humor and always had a camera at hand, ready to captures life's memories. He was a loving father and brother.

Alfonso is preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Lara and maternal grandparents, Jose Maria Escalante and Matilde Duron.

He is survived by his children, Alfonso Jr. and Logan Lee, his companion Armandina. His lovely mother Guadalupe Lara and siblings; Imelda, Rocio (Raul), Gabriel (Rosa), Ana (Hector), Brenda (Ronnie), and Pablo, 18 nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Angel Bright Hospice for their compassionate and excellent care of my brother. A special thanks to Jackie, Shelly, Celia, William, Rosie and Sonia.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home.
